Screenshots

I used a camera overlay on the scenes where the camera is being used. This is better as it looks better and will make the viewer more interested than just looking at a camera shot. Also, I have also added in the shutter sound from a camera to make it even more realistic. It makes the viewer more interested as it's not just a video clip, it gives them something else to look at.

In the phone call scene, I have added an effect to the audio of the other person down the phone to make it sound like they are actually having a phone call. The audio with this effect is overlayed on other scenes to make it seem like an actual phone call.

This screenshot shows the audio levels on a background audio clip. I have done this to make it more intense and give the next scene a better effect for the viewer. If this was all one level, it would be as interesting as this example.

In my edit, I put a Foely track into it. It makes the clips seem more realistic as it has audio which is outside and suits the track. If it didnt have this, most of the edit would be silent, which makes it seem more fake than realistic

Questions

Which part of the project or process are you most proud of?
I feel most proud of my editing for this unit. As I haven't really edited anything on this scale or used Premiere Pro much, I feel like I have learnt a lot of skills to use in the future. Also, I have learnt other skills when it comes to making a film more effective through this unit. I have also included an L-cut which I am proud of.

What was the most difficult part of this project? Did you overcome it? If so, how?
The most difficult part of our project was the weather conditions at the time of recording. When we recorded for this project, it was within a week of heavy snow, we therefore adapted our plan according to the weather. When it was bad, we did work so we didn't waste any valuable time and so we would have time to record the clips we were meant to record.

What lessons have you learned for your next project?
I have learnt that when it comes to recording video, you should try not to rush when recording. We rushed one of our clips and it came out shaky. We therefore had to reshoot it, which caused for more time wasted. Also, I have learnt many new skills when it comes to recording video and audio. I have also learnt new editing skills.

If you were to do this project again, what would you change?
I would most likely dedicate more time to the recording of the video. As we could only record in lesson time, it seemed restricting on time, it would be better if we could do it out of college time as it would give the group more time to get the clips etc.

Will/how will you be sharing this video? To your friends on Facebook, to your family on YouTube? If not, why not?
I will most likely keep it only on my college youtube channel. If I show my edit to people, it will most likely be in person with the person who I want to show it to. This saves time but also allows me to get their opinion on the work.
